Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Product and Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting processes, as well as providing strategic insights into our product lines. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • the financial control function for various product lines, including securities valuation and analysis for Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Swaps.
  • thorough reconciliations and analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • with internal stakeholders to provide insights into product performance and profitability.
  • testing and UAT activities related to subledger/accounting rules engines and GL migrations.
  • and maintain strong controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • clear and accurate financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Accountant with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in Finance and/or Product Control within the banking industry.
  • understanding of financial products and securities valuation methodologies.
  • in MS Excel, Access, and other relevant software tools for data analysis and manipulation.
  • analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large datasets and pivot tables effectively.
  • communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • experience with Gloss settlement and subledger systems, as well as derivatives systems, is preferred.
