Product Development Manager
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Head of Strategy & Innovation (Local Sales)
Overview of job
Working closely with the Head of Strategy & Innovation, the Product Development Manager is responsible for owning and developing all existing media products, scoping out, creating and launching simple to sell and easy to buy new media products across audio, outdoor and digital.

Measures of success -

  • Ensure the number of products sold & clients buying multiplatform products increases on a monthly and annual basis
  • Support and drive Account Manager capability and knowledge levels of our existing products and ensure they understand how to generate and secure business as a result of pitching them
  • Develop a suite of subscription products which deliver recurring revenue and growth
  • Revenue stream targets are achieved with product yield increased across the board
  • All product profit margins are on track
  • Customer feedback is tracked and product NPS Is positive

In the first few months, you would have:

  • Prioritised out and trialled several new multi-platform products
  • Brought to market the products which 'pass' proof of concept
  • Accelerated the revenue of existing Local Sales products
  • Reviewed existing products and made recommendations

Responsibilities of the role

  • Work with Inventory, Partnerships, Data and Pricing teams to ensure we are capitalising on all profitable environments and supporting those that are underperforming
  • Review all products, except for Creative, on a bi-annual basis
  • Work with Legal and Finance to ensure we have the appropriate T&Cs and payment options
  • Work with Commercial Marketing to produce a sales & marketing plan for each product
  • Ensure occupancy and yields increase
  • Work with Campaign Management teams and Strategy & Operation Project managers to ensure the booking process is simple
  • Provide support to Head of Creative when they are reviewing and creating new products

What will you need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

  • Knowledge of all Global platforms ideal but not essential
  • Excellent understanding of the media landscape and the competitive products in the market
  • Ability to innovate and think independently
  • Expertise in product discovery and product design opportunities
  • Detailed understanding of the key challenges businesses face commercially and how Global can help existing and prospective clients overcome these
  • Effective communicator: You can clearly explain and present your ideas, observations and findings with excellent presentation and personal skills
  • Analytical in approach to data and problem solving
