Aulds Delicious Desserts, based in Inchinnan Business Park near to Glasgow Airport is one of the UK’s leading desserts manufacturers, producing frozen desserts for the foodservice market for over 50 years. We presently have a vacancy for a Product Development Technologist within our Development Team reporting to our Senior Development Manager. The role is a very rewarding and varied one and can be summarised as follows:


The Job You do;

· Develop products relative to both Customer briefs and “Blue sky” projects.

· Ensure all relevant aspects of HACCP, manufacturing processes and costs are considered during the product development process.

· Liaise with customers regarding their development requirements.

· Maintain documentation of all developments from concept to launch.

· Liaise with production to complete and supervise factory trials and new product launches.

· Complete all Technical information required to complete Sample Submission Forms

· Identify current and future Trends in the market.

· Work in a clean and safe working environment, always maintaining this situation.

· Contribute at all times to the operation of the department liaising with colleagues on different projects and contributing to the positive outcomes of the department.


About You;

· Have a food science or similar degree qualification

· Have previous experience as a Product Development Technologist or similar position.

· Experienced in working within a FMCG/Food manufacturing environment

· Experience developing bakery style products including gluten free and vegan

· Be creative and innovative with the ability to think out with the constraints of day-to-day operations.

· Be comfortable in the use of spreadsheets and similar systems.

· Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

· Salary – A competitive salary of between £30-£35k is offered which is dependent on ability and experience.

· Working Hours – a working week of 39 hours to be worked over 5 days per week between 8.00-4.15pm with an additional 15 mins to be worked 1 day a week.
