Product Manager - Educational Travel

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven Product Manager with previous experience of successfully shaping new products to join an impressive award-winning tour operator. They offer fantastic tailor-made trips and arguably the best service within their specialist field and are looking for a likeminded individual who is as enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate about travel as they are.

Product Manager - Educational Travel - What will I be doing?

As the Product Manager you will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Head of Product to develop a new product range in France and Spain, so it’s essential that your destination knowledge of these two countries is excellent. You will focus on language school trips aiming to provide cultural immersion experiences, as well as cross-over appeal to geography school trips. Once developed, you’ll be responsible for managing the product you have developed and possibly other destinations, whilst exploring additional growth opportunities. As this is a newly created role, there’s plenty of opportunity to really make your own mark!

Product Manager - Educational Travel - What experience do I need?

  • Demonstrable experience of effectively negotiating and contracting rates
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • High degree of flexibility and an ability to deal with change
  • Able to travel as necessary for site inspections and contracting
  • Confident driving overseas
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • A problem solver with the ability to follow through tasks and responsibilities to ensure positive outcomes
  • Strong communicator and team player with an ability to engage effectively across all levels of a business
  • Highly motivated and well-organised
  • Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent spoken and written English and numeracy skills
  • Results and target orientated, with a can-do attitude
  • Although not essential ,experience of working in the student group travel sector would be advantageous
  • Fluent in French and/or Spanish

The company offers some excellent benefits, including familiarisation trips and in-house well-being treatments, to name but a few. Their hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm and, when you’re not working from home, there’s a fabulous office in Dorking with a great working environment to be part of. 2 days a week will be required in the office, the rest from home.
