Product Strategy Consultant (6 month Fixed Term Contract)

We are now recruiting for a Product Strategy Consultant to join the Advised Product Team, initially on a 6 month fixed-term basis, who will act in a senior management advisory capacity.

This role is responsible for providing insight and input to both the Advised MD and Advised Product Director to maximise the success and profitability of the full advised platform suite, which will including identifying opportunities to create new products, services, and revenue lines.

What does the job involve?

  • Supporting the Product Director and Advised MD in defining strategic direction for the future development of the advised product suite (including AJ Bell Investcentre, AJ Bell Custody Solutions and AJ Bell Touch)
  • Working with our product and development teams to help guide decision-making in delivering product strategy
  • Creating routines to measure the effectiveness of our product delivery and implementation
  • Providing clear and coherent reporting to the Product Director and Advised MD on the progress of key agreed initiatives, blockers, challenges across the future development of the product suite
  • Guiding the marketing teams to support the launch of products and features and development of contact strategies and content, ensuring that key messages are understood and embedded in the relevant plans
  • Industry horizon-scanning and strategic planning to support the future growth of the business and capture of potential new product lines or opportunities within the advised market

What we're looking for:

  • Significant and proven experience in developing UK-based adviser platform solutions and equivalent solutions gained at senior management level
  • Knowledge and experience of digital development of platform-type services and experience working with development and delivery teams
  • Deep marketing and distribution support knowledge, taking new products to market and supporting the effective sale of products to users in the target market/s
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Effective analytic skills, able to work with complex data sets
  • Effective report writing and presentation skills

Location: Manchester, London or Bristol – travel between all sites will be required
