Production Engineer
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in their manufacturing facility, driving innovation and efficiency in their production processes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Engineering Support: Provide technical assistance to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- CAD & BOM Management: Accurately interpret CAD drawings and translate them into Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system.
- Process & Documentation: Lead the planning and management of manufacturing orders, update process documentation, and prepare SOPs.
- Technical Leadership: Support and guide the production team, optimizing processes and resolving technical challenges.
- ERP Expertise: Serve as a 'super-user' and main trainer for the ERP system, offering guidance to Manufacturing Planning and Production staff.
- Planning & Coordination: Oversee material planning, system updates, and adherence to control procedures, especially in response to design changes.
Key Competencies:
- Proficient in reading and understanding CAD drawings.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Vacuum forming, machine shop, injection molding, or final assembly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work to high-quality standards.
- IT proficiency, particularly in ERP systems.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexibility in working hours, with a willingness to undertake overtime during busy periods.
