Job Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Production Engineer. This is a key role within the engineering function whose objectives are to support the manufacturing and logistics teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with our manufacturing, logistics and maintenance teams delivering projects, with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement.
The Role:
- Implementation and support of all new product introductions, establishing manufacturing processes in a timely manner. Liaising with teams regarding counterparts for equipment and technical advice.
- Proactive engagement, technical support and working alongside engineers, contractors and production teams providing project updates, accurate costings, and timelines.
- Identifying new equipment and continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Identifying and testing key consumables for manufacturing processes and sharing knowledge with wider group
- · Co-coordinating with contractors and skilled maintenance engineers to complete work request and projects.
- · Using AutoCAD technology to produce equipment layouts, technical drawings and tooling specifications to support manufacturing.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Mechanical engineering background with a recognised engineering apprenticeship and /or HNC / HND within engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical or electronic).
· Engineering knowledge of electrical principles and pneumatics
- Experience of machining and fabrication
- Experience of project management within a manufacturing background
- AutoCad or drawing experience would be advantageous
- Experience in troubleshooting and monitoring processes and products.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
