Production Quality Engineer / Quality Engineering Manager


ROLE OVERVIEW

• Must understand urgency, action and communication with customers both internally and externally

with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse team.

• Collaborating with teams (such as development, engineering and production).

• Enhanced processes and problem-solving skills resulting in tangible process, quality and efficiency

improvements.

• High level understanding of Continuous Improvement and lean principles.

• Training and coaching of team leaders and operators in Continuous improvement and Lean Principles.

• Proficient in key quality management tools like APQP, PPAP, and 8Ds, with a focus on lean initiatives.

• Design department KPI’s to manage process and highlight improvements.

• Implement quality processes to ensure production process is stable, repeatable and right first time

approach.

• Quality Assurance Planning by developing and implementing quality assurance plans for the

production process and supply chain (internal & external) processes.

• Non-Conformance Management by investigating and resolving non-conformances, working closely

with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Risk Management by identifying and assessing potential risks in the supply chain and production that

may impact the quality, lead time and cost.

• Considering the milestones and KPI of a new program, ensuring the quality of products with

supporting of robust process development at suppliers and proactive project management by working

closely as a cross functional team of development, engineering and purchasing.

• Successful in managing supplier development both internally and externally and conducting thorough

audits.

• Coordinate and collaborate with Development on NPI, including, flow process (single piece), SOP,

Gemba walk, layout design, with lean manufacturing approach, process and machine risk assessment

to ensure we deliver repeatable quality parts.


Project Management

o Working closely both with business and supply chain (internal & external) to achieve the target

product introduction dates / milestones.

o Monitoring internal and supplier progress with weekly dial-ins. Reporting to

management/business/customer.

o Working with planning team for ensuring the supply chain delivers raw material / products with target

quality, quantity and within the right time.

o Conduct capacity verification and process capability sign off prior to SOP.


Production Quality Management

o Drawing and process design reviews with suppliers (internal & external) to ensure achieving target

capability, and product quality. Risk analysis for required poke yoke systems.

o Setting quality/inspection standards.

o At the supply chain (internal & external), doing process & quality audits, and run at rate trials, by

doing risk analysis, for ensuring the safety of operators, the products’ quality meeting the spec, and

achieving target cycle times.

o Working with the development engineering team to ensure PPAP activity internally and within supply

chain is executed effectively and on time.

o Lead and support problem solving/8D activities. Developing containment actions, determining root

cause analysis and verifying corrective actions.

o Recording of lessons learned items for future programs.

o Leading/participating lessons learned activities.

o Participating at packaging activities/design to ensure the product quality during transport.

Considering the vehicle production volumes, ensuring the part per stillage quantities aligned with Tier

1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

o Working with manufacturing team to monitor end of product success.

o Leading and supporting continues improvement activities.

o Process development and kpi monitoring for new parts.

o Based on OEM milestone, achieving all quality kpi, and part level requirements by working closely

with production and project team- Leading APQP activities and preparing documents. By doing

internal audits, ensuring all the documents and process steps/details are aligned.

o Leading internal project management and phase activities.

o Leading/participating DFMEA , FMEA , and design review activities.

o (5S, visual factory, value stream mapping, lean leadership), to understand fundamentals of Lean

Production/Organisation.
