Alexander Steele are working in partnership with an established food manufacturer in North East Lincolnshire which are looking for an experienced Production Shift Manager.
Roles + Responsibilities
- Schedule Management: Develop and oversee shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels, aligning with production demands and maintaining efficiency.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold food safety standards and compliance with regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance and achieve production targets.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity while minimizing waste and downtime.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address operational issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions in real-time.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the team's productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and implementing best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency and product quality.
