Location: Norfolk, within 20 miles of Norwich

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £45,000

Shifts: Days, nights, weekends

ISQ Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic client in the FMCG sector (food-related, but not a food factory) to recruit a Shift Production Manager for their manufacturing facility in Norfolk.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a hands-on role suited for an experienced leader with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve their best. You will be responsible for overseeing shift operations, maintaining safety standards, and driving quality and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Operations Manager and support the overall operational strategy.
  • Champion health and safety practices.
  • Drive operational excellence and lead effective problem-solving within the team.
  • Conduct regular Pareto analysis to identify key areas for improvement.
  • Manage shift performance, including handling disciplinary actions and managing resources.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives for team members.
  • Engage the team in continuous improvement efforts and promote a culture of innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Formal training in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Proven experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Strong engineering aptitude (mechanical, electrical, or technical).
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean-Sigma Yellow Belt.
  • Solid technical and operational understanding.
  • Understanding of BRC standards is advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT and MS Office applications.
