Alexander Steele are on the lookout for an experienced Production Supervisor in Scunthorpe. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established food manufacturer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Production Supervisor oversees and manages the production operatives which includes assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that team members adhere to safety and quality concerns.
- They will collaborate with production managers and planners to develop production schedules and ensure that resources, equipment, and materials are available and allocated properly to meet targets.
- The Supervisor ensures that products meet the required quality standard. This may include conducting regular quality checks and implementing quality control processes.
- Production Supervisors are responsible for identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the production process. They troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to minimise downtime and production delays.
- Expected to track and analyse production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and waste, to identify areas for improvement and implement measures to optimise production performance.
- They must ensure all team members follow health and safety protocols by creating a safe environment and highlighting any potential risks.
- Supervisors also must ensure that the production process complies with relevant regulations, industry standards and company policies.
