Job Description

Here at Gnaw Chocolate, we are always on the look out for people with passion and talent. We are currently looking for 1 such person, to be a Production Supervisor (and cover the Warehouse for holidays), at our Norwich factory. To be considered you will need to be an existing supervisor in a fast moving FMCG business, with the skills to match, or a very skilled team leader.

A great people person, with the ability to inspire, engage and empower their teams. They will be skilled in reducing costs and maintaining quality, alongside targeted throughputs, and delivering good KPIs, so that the business can use the data to improve itself. The ideal candidate will oversee safe and proper manufacturing of the company's products. In order to do this, the candidate will need to troubleshoot issues as they occur, and ensure the efficient day to day operations of production, and coordinating a team of production employees to make sure that consistent and quality goods are constantly being produced.

They will be someone who brings solutions to the issues. They must be able to demonstrate a record of delivering savings and efficiencies. Some continuous improvement or lean manufacturing is desirable. Show they are organised and work closely with planning to achieve the best outputs possible. Ability to control and improve work flows both in production and the warehouse. Manage stock control for ingredients, packaging, consumables and finished products. To monitor, record & control all wastes and reduce these.

This role will answer into the Head of Ops, and will join the company at a time when there is a lot of change in process, and in the introduction of new and improved kit, layouts, and processes. As such the successful applicant will have a pivotal role to play in ensuring these are embedded successfully with the wider team. Responsibilities include :

Maintaining right first time on quality.

Strong Health and safety leadership

Oversight of all KPIs, and ensuring the data from is utilised.

Strong communication skills a must.

Labour cost control.

Correct stock rotation.

Ensuring training is up to date and reviewed regularly.

Ensuring highest food safety standards are maintained.

Qualifications

IOSH or Nebosh desirable.

Excel spreadsheets - a good working knowledge of.

Food Hygiene Certificate level 2

HACCP experience

FLT license and advantage but not essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
