JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Production Supervisor, taking full responsibility to supervisor a print team across 8 presses, and cover the Head of Production in their absence.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Day to day management of the Printing team including, but not limited to, carrying out absence management, staff appraisals, performance improvement plans, and approving holiday and rescheduling cover
  • Full cover for the Production Manager, Finishing Supervisor and Pre-Press Supervisor and taking charge of production outside of normal day working hours.
  • Daily productivity responsibility ensuring that schedule and targets set are achieved with maximum output
  • Organising training for printers as required
  • To work with the Production Manager to continually improve quality, processes and production efficiencies
  • Ensuring regular maintenance of the printing equipment
  • Achieve set and agreed objectives
  • Maintaining quality including job sign on & off
  • Liaise with planner and teams regarding suitability of jobs and overtime requirements
  • Assist in all production areas as and when required
  • Close support of printers to ensure jobs are processed in a timely manner
  • To work completely within the remit of ISO 9001, BRC and PS9001
  • Security & Key Holder Responsibilities



JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels
  • Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience in a print, packaging, and/or labels industry
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management position
  • Be an effective team player and able to work independently
  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions/procedures
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of print
  • Forklift Experience
