The Role

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Production Support Manager to join our Production Support Team. This role is based at our head office at Norwich Airport and is Monday – Friday.

In this role the successful candidate will lead and inspire the Production Support team to provide a cost effective, efficient, accurate and effective planning, technical, logistical and administrative support to our Base Maintenance Department and robust labour and downtime quotations to Sales and Marketing. The successful candidate will also lead the floor planning sales prospects review and acceptance process to optimise hangar slots aligned to the strategic priorities and the target Budget recovered hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Floor Planning sales prospects review and acceptance process to optimise hangar slots aligned to the strategic priorities and the target Budget recovered hours.
  • Leadership, development, and succession planning for Production Support personnel.
  • Support Base Maintenance to achieve Operational Excellence
  • Build strong working relationships with all Department Managers.
  • Establish a professional and robust partnership with the Base Maintenance Manager.
  • Build strong working relationships with Customers and main interfaces.
  • Timely delivery of accurate and comprehensive Work packs.
  • Challenging yet achievable project plans created/updated.
  • Compliance with airworthiness standards and company procedures.
  • Timely and effective closure of audit findings.
  • ‘On-check’ materials sourced with due consideration for urgency, total cost, and contract conditions.
  • Quotations reflect recent performance of Base Maintenance. Feedback from Base Maintenance used to modify future quotations.
  • Financial budgetary input and control. Forecasting and justifying/explaining variances.
  • Floor loading plan accuracy always maintained.
  • Effective wash-up meetings with actions and follow up to improve Production efficiency and reduce TAT’s.
  • Experience from incidents and pro-active observations used to introduce safer methods of working.
  • Responsibility in relation to the sales to revenue process

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

  • Proven operational management experience of multi-disciplined teams.
  • EASA Part 66 C license holder preferred.
  • Airline Fleet scheduling and Management experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of EASA/CAA Part 145 regulations.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Strong leadership, team working and influencing skills.
