Job Description

We are working with a central London-based conflict free litigation firm which has grown significantly since its inception. The firm has a very strong track record and pipeline of high value and high profile international disputes work, and in order to support this growth, is now looking to hire a first Professional Support Lawyer.

In this newly established role, you will be responsible for launching a range of Knowledge Management activities, including:

  • Curating and enhancing the firm’s precedents, practice notes, and legal resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and readily accessible;
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research to support ongoing and intricate complex disputes work, providing the latest insights on case law, statutes, and regulations;
  • Creating and delivering engaging training programs focusing on litigation techniques, procedural rules, and recent legal developments;
  • Drafting and updating client alerts, newsletters, and other publications to keep clients and colleagues informed about significant legal trends in dispute resolution.
  • Assisting with the preparation of high-quality legal documents, pleadings, and briefs, ensuring adherence to firm standards.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative legal technologies and methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance service quality.
  • Supporting client relationship management, by providing expert insights and updates on matters related to dispute resolution.

In order to be considered for this role, you will probably:

  • Be an England & Wales-admitted Solicitor with at least 5 years’ high quality post-qualification experience in dispute resolution, including litigation and/or arbitration.
  • Have a strong sense of commerciality alongside technical excellence, and a clear understanding of how a law firm operates as a business.
  • Be organised, with good attention to detail, and be interested in legal technology and its associated efficiencies.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and risk management skills;
  • Be self-motivated, proactive, calm and efficient under pressure.

Experience of working within the legal publishing industry would be highly regarded.
