Key Responsibilities:

The Programme Manager, Sponsorship Digital Transformation will lead the planning, implementation and change management across a portfolio of World Vision’s child sponsorship projects for digital transformation of experience led systems and processes, enhancing and future-proofing our current sponsorship ecosystem and technical solutions to enable a digital-first sponsor experience to 2.5+ million sponsors and potential sponsors around the world. They will report to the Senior Director, Child Sponsorship Marketing & Engagement, and work closely with the Director, Sponsorship Digital Transformation to implement the transformation’s vision and strategy. They will also work in close collaboration with multiple global marketing and technical teams as well as 30 fundraising offices around the world on design, development, build, test and scale of the transformation sub projects. In addition, they may oversee a small team or matrixed resources to ensure delivery of child sponsorship production projects that feed into the sponsor experience. The ideal candidate has senior experience in managing large scale digital and transformational projects internationally and thus is an accomplished programme/project manager, has a customer-centric mindset, is adept at bringing together multiple senior stakeholders and can effectively manage projects on time and within budget to meet complex organisational goals.

Design & strategic direction of the future-proof, enterprise-level ecosystem

  • Influences and actively contributes to the technical solutioning of the organisation-wide design, development and implementation/scale of a future-proof sponsorship ecosystem and related technical architecture.  This includes people, processes, platforms  and builds on the already existing global approaches and initiatives and enables global orchestration and automation of a re-imagined, digital-first and interactive sponsorship experience at scale. Focused on new and/or refined platforms, platform integration, production/process automation, internal capacity, and processes to achieve this future state ecosystem.

Strategic & operational planning of end-to-end ecosystem project and sub projects

  • Creates and manages annual and multiple-year technical solutioning project plans across the portfolio of projects in collaboration with the technical teams to achieve this transformed ecosystem and related technical architecture, including definition and implementation of sub projects to time, budget and to defined quality standards and business requirements. Defines strategic technology and production variable scenarios, recommends sequencing and pacing to achieve overall goals, manages and secures vendors. Creates and manages comprehensive test plans and solution builds for scale. Manages continuous improvement approach to all projects with YOY evidence of success.

Stakeholder engagement and management to achieve technical solutioning

  • Successfully and continually build relationships, influence, collaborate and engage global and fundraising office teams – including internal technical teams and external vendors – to understand World Vision’s current environment and in the longer term, achieve technical solutioning for the future state sponsorship ecosystem.

Project reporting & analysis

  • Creates clear, effective executive level project progress and milestone reporting on ecosystem projects and sub projects, with clear risk identification and escalation processes.

Team leadership, support and capacity building

  • Creates an environment for any direct reports or and cross-functional partners to effectively plan and execute on their work. Grows internal project and programme management capacity.  Set performance agreements and manage with ongoing review and feedback including adjustments as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  • 5 years’ experience in programme and/or operational management of complex end-to-end processes requiring influence on multiple indirect staff teams; and in the technology sector.
  • Strategic critical thinker with the ability to see the larger picture but also analyse and manage the finer details.
  • Solution focused, output/results orientated person who is adept in overcoming challenges to deliver on program quality and timelines.
  • Intermediate to advanced annual strategic and financial planning experience, including monthly reporting against plans, highlighting risks or issues to timelines, budgets and dependencies
  • Able to understand and synthesize complex concepts and variety of views into simple and actionable visions, roadmaps and plans.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain trusted, influential and effective relationships within an international organization.
  • Experience and skills in risk management and mitigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology, logistics or digital transformation Project management training/certificate or equivalent (agile preferred) Agile/scrum master training/certification or proven experience
  • Willingness & ability to travel 15% domestic and internationally
