The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Programme Support Manager for a 12 month FTC  to represent the Programme Director on-site through the day-to-day management of priorities and hands-on support. The role is to ensure the programme and its projects progress as per agreed plans / actions, facilitated by achieving the buy-in of contributing Business Functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the programme schedule on track.
  • Maintain the programme plan and track the status of programme/project deliverables and milestones through engagement with cross functional teams.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day priorities and delivery, identify and manage actions to address issues with stakeholders, and escalate issues if necessary.
  • Be the on-site point of contact representing the programme and Programme Director.
  • Promote engagement across all stakeholders through excellent communication and promoting collaboration.
  • Be able to proactively manage barriers to progress effectively, working with teams to identify options and solutions, and able to determine when escalation to the Programme Director is required.
  • Monitor status of projects and programme progress, co-ordinate and produce project and programme reporting as required by the Programme Director.
  • Maintain an independent programmes stance when imbedded with other functional disciplines
  • Provision of management support to programme delivery on time and to a high standard.
  • Effectiveness of support as the day-day representative of the Programme Director
  • Ability to understand, plan and manage near term programme priorities.
  • Generation and delivery of all required project and programme metrics/reports to the standard required and in a timely fashion.
  • Proactive identification and ownership of improvement opportunities.
  • Previous experience working in / with the following functional areas would be a distinct advantage:
    Aircraft operations
  • Aircraft maintenance
  • Aircraft engineering (Design / Airworthiness)
  • Aviation supply, procurement and logistics practice
