A distinguished practice in Birmingham, that promotes a highly collaborative approach and has had an incredibly busy start to 2024, is looking to hire a new Architect/Project Architect within their studio.
This award-winning studio delivers a broad array of exciting projects of varying scales including Infrastructure, Transport, Airports, Education, Sports Grounds & Clubs, Heritage/Conservation, and a variety of Residential & Commercial schemes.
The practice actively encourages involvement across all RIBA stages, developing all-around architectural design and delivery professionals, while nurturing progression from within.
A fantastic opportunity for a Qualified/Project Architect, who can intelligently design and develop concepts, constructing 3D models and detailed design using Revit. Preferably, you should have an in-depth knowledge of, and experience in all RIBA stages related to project completion, and diligently communicate with clients, contractors & stakeholders to ensure timely execution. You should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks frequently to ensure building regulations & requirements for planning permission are being followed.
Responsibilities
- Developing architectural designs that meet client needs, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Leading projects through all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work, from initial conception to completion.
- Creating detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards.
- Collaborating with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Utilising Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other digital technologies for design and documentation.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship.
- Providing leadership and guidance to junior staff members and project teams.
- Continuing professional development to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Part III Qualified Architect - ARB Registered Member
- 2+ years of post-Part III experience in the UK Architecture Industry
- Intelligent design and concept skills
- Strong organisational, creative, technical, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Revit
- Competent knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
This is a permanent position, with plenty of project responsibility available immediately and as you establish yourself within the studio.
