A leading global retailer is looking to increase resource within the Supply Chain department and is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Assistant to aid with implementation of new supply chain IT processes across various internal supply chain sectors including Head office, National Depots & Regional Distribution centres.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects within the Supply Chain department
- Responsible for full end to end project management, tracking that the project is on time, to specification and within budget parameters.
- Management and control of the inbound supply chain process working with Buying, Supplier, Logistics and Regional Distribution Centre’s to deliver to agreed timeframes and KPIs.
- Manage multiple logistics projects and tasks, liaising with and managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify areas of risk and showcase methods of rectifying.
- Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and streamlining operations to maximise team efficiencies.
- Present reports for the supply chain team
- Managing the correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with internal and external parties.
Key requirements for the role
- Strong experience of Supply Chain processes
- Project Management/Planning
- Delivering large scale projects
- An ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Advanced IT Skills specifically Word, Excel
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable liaising with a range of audiences and tailoring approach accordingly.
- Good level of education
