About the role

The IT2A Project Assurance Coordinator will support the Project Assurance Manager in ensuring the successful execution of IT projects within the organization. Reviewing reports and artefacts to aid the evaluation of project adherence to quality standards and policies, this role identifies non-compliance and project health issues and tracks actions to mitigate. Working closely with PMO and project delivery teams, you will play a key role in providing assurance to IT leadership and the business on the organisation’s ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently.


Responsibilities:

  • Carry out project assurance activities, including the monitoring of project data and artefacts to evaluate quality and compliance with agreed standards.
  • Support the Project Assurance Manager in the preparation and execution of project stagegate reviews, ensuring all information is available to decide whether the required thresholds have been met to move to the next phase.
  • Produce regular status updates on the health of the IT2A portfolio, highlighting projects or areas of concern that require action to address
  • Prepare and track risk mitigation plans to address issues found, liaising with stakeholders to ensure completion
  • Help define project quality standards and metrics for project deliverables, working alongside PMO and delivery team to monitor these throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities to improve project processes and controls in order to enhance project delivery quality and eficacy
  • Work with stakeholders to address gaps in skills, processes and controls in order to improve the delivery of IT2A projects
  • Promote project quality best practices across the IT2A organisation


What you’ll need to have

  • Experience in project coordination/management, IT assurance or related field
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall), tools and best practices
  • High degree of organizational skills, attention to detail and effective communication with project teams and stakeholders


It would be great if you also have

  • Experience in identification and mitigation of risk
