Job Description

Major Players are working with a leading agency to assist in their search for a Head of Production. The successful individual will lead a team of project manager and producers and have a holistic overview of the department; guiding the team to ensure all project deliverables are on time, on budget, and of course, to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the production of all work created by the department.
  • Lead and manage the Production team (inc shoots).
  • Oversee all commercial production activities within the department, including P&L planning, budget control and content creation.
  • Undertake project scoping, overseeing budgets, timelines, and schedules for integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards for all production staff and freelancers.
  • Frequently assessing the production team structure and continuously looking for ways to maximise efficiency and minimise cost within the team.
  • Manage all financial aspects of production, encompassing contracts, budgeting, and weekly reconciliations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital, editing, filming, and production technologies.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve stakeholder needs.
  • Mentor the development of team members, actively seeking growth opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong background in stills shoot and integrated campaigns
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing in-house & agency production teams for prominent brands/ agencies.
  • Proven experience in executing integrated cross-media campaigns across digital content, production, post-production, and social media platforms.
  • Successful track record in implementing efficient production workflows.
  • Negotiation skills leading to cost efficiencies.
  • Client-facing experience and collaboration with marketing teams across multiple brands and locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through periods of change and transformation.
  • Capability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders, with delegation when necessary to meet deliverables.
