Edinburgh (Mechanical)

Jura (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)

Speyside (Mechanical)

Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a passion for the distilling industry? Do you have a strong background in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering? If so, we have exciting opportunities for you with three prestigious clients located in Edinburgh, Jura, and Speyside.

About the Roles:

We are seeking Project Engineers to oversee and manage end-to-end projects within distilleries and process-driven plant environments. Our clients are leading names in the distilling sector, going through significant investment known for their commitment to innovation. These roles require individuals who understand the intricacies of moving parts, piping systems, and the complexities involved in building and refurbishing distilleries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement mechanical, chemical, or electrical systems for new and existing distilling processes.
  • Vendor Selection: Oversee the selection and management of vendors, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Installation Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the installation of equipment and systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production, technical, and maintenance, to ensure project alignment with business goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree (or similar) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management within a distilling or process-driven plant environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of piping systems, moving parts, and distillery operations.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
