Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading manufacturing client on a permanent basis located the Walsall area. The Project Engineer is responsible and accountable for planning, executing, and closing Projects. They define the project, build a comprehensive work plan, and then managing to the budget. The core function will be to collaborate with other functions within the business to implement new projects. Company Benefits:

Permanent role from day 1 Skills:

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Excellent competency levels in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Demonstratable Project Management experience within a Mechanical and/or Electrical Manufacturing environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects, of varying complexity levels, and at various maturity stages.

Formal Project Management qualification

Product knowledge in Electrical Control Cabinets and/or Electro-mechanical assemblies.

Competency in Microsoft Sharepoint. Duties:

Working towards performance targets and deadlines

Constructing and adhering to project plan.

Good understanding of project management software tools.

The ability to construct project plans with multiple variables.

Attend morning SQCDP meetings and further daily communication meetings as a member of the team to ensure their understanding of targets and objectives.

Escalate relevant issues to the Engineering Manager.

Liasing with other departments

Ensure that projects adhere to customer expectations, provide clear accurate responses to Customer Concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Report any quality concerns to their line manager and actively seek to improve quality whilst carrying out their duties

Manage allocated budget to support the companys objectives

Accountable for the project plan

Providing accurate project progress on a weekly basis

Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised delivery date.

Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates.

Coordinate with leadership and other departments to address exceptions.

Maintain company standards, promote Company values, standards, policies and procedures.
