Project Engineer
Alexander Associates are working with a thriving Swiss company in the Space sector, recognised by their design and supply of satellite structures, thermal subsystems and mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE).
As a result of their success, they are expanding to the UK and opening an office in Oxfordshire. They are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to be a key part of growing their presence in the UK.
Project Engineer responsibilities:
- Design complex systems and components (welded structures, mechanical parts, electromechanical machines) that fulfill needs and specifications.
- Supervise assembly, testing and commissioning activities
- Support for our sales team in the further development of our UK operations
- Prepare technical offers for our future projects
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
- Coordinate activities on UK soil
Project Engineer Requirements:
- Master degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 5-10 years of technical experience in an equivalent position
- Good understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, welded structures, electro mechanics etc.
- Proficient with 3D modelling software, CATIA V5 preferably
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Must be self-sufficient - able to work under minimal supervision, fast-thinking and pro-active.
