Contechs is recruiting on behalf of its client whose mission is to drive technological advancements within the mobility sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project engineer who has a strong background in Electrical modules on a Perm basis. The role will be based in Leamington Spa.
Responsibilities:
- Own and develop EMC compliance planning, requirements, and documentation (specs, test plans, test reports, etc.).
- Act as single point of contact within the organisation for all EMC related enquiries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (component owners, Harness team, vehicle engineering, Homologation) and manage all project touch points.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design engineers to develop hardware within EMC specs.
- Support technical reviews and FMEAs to ensure EMC compliance is considered during the development process.
Skills required:
- Demonstrable experience in metrics tracking and reporting for a hardware project.
- Ability to identify blockers/bottlenecks and develop remediation/recovery plans.
- Ability to triage new work and adjust to rapidly shifting program priorities.
- UNECE Reg 10 or similar requirement understanding.
- Ability to liaise with project stakeholders at multiple levels.
- A good understanding of EMC automotive standards.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, EMC principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in a similar EV focused role would be highly advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, Ph.D.) preferred.
