MESAB is extensively working with integration and service of technical systems and especially of environmental equipment on cruise vessels, with extensive knowledge in the field of exhaust gas emission reduction.
MESAB provides technology, project management, turnkey installations and retrofitting of environmental solutions to the shipping and shipbuilding industry, worldwide. Many of our customers are international shipping companies that operate passenger vessels, and today we are one of the leading companies providing integration services to cruise ship companies.
Our environmentally friendly solutions reduce air, water pollution, and improve ships' energy consumption.
We have three offices: Stockholm (Sweden), Fort Lauderdale, (Florida USA) and Southampton (UK). In total we are about twenty permanent employees working in offices, warehouses and managing projects on board our customers’ vessels. Plus, we have an extended team of 150 welders, fitters, electricians and managers working on ships all over the world.
The demand for our services is high, so we are now looking to grow our team in the UK. This position will report to the General Manager.
About the role:
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects of our projects as well as planning, coordinating, and implementing within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities:
- Define project timeline.
- Monitor project deliverables.
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress.
- Handle technical questions and implementation - Project engineering.
- Financial planning and control of projects
- Liaise with the customer at all project stages
- Work to defined processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Cruise ship technical experience is a strong plus.
- Sea-going experience is a plus.
- Marine installation and/or service work is a plus.
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Computer literate
- Good level of English, both spoken and written.

Working hours:
Weekdays 08:00 - 17:00, but some out of hours working may be required from you. Travel overseas is expected in this position.
