We take your career journey seriously and well support you every step of the way. Role description: We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work on Education projects across the North of England. This role encompasses project management and contract administration with successful candidates taking ownership of their own batch of projects for which they will oversee from inception through to completion and handover. Day to day the Project Managers are responsible for driving the school projects forwards to ensure that progress continues to be made and the school is developed in accordance with the client requirements and those of the responsible bodies (operators for the schools). Role accountabilities: As a Project Manager you would own a batch of your own projects and be accountable for pushing them forwards in line with the agreed development programme. You would have responsibility for co-ordinating the client-side team and specialists to progress the projects through the main stages of the clients project processes. It is expected that this would include: Leading and producing the feasibility Engaging and managing Contractors through pre-contract competition process to contract award Overseeing and monitoring the works to assure compliance with standard specification (supported by Clerk of Works) Assuring the Contractor is held to account for quality Certifying works are compliant and complete Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience working on education construction projects is desirable If no previous experience on education projects, experience working on other public sector construction projects is essential Prior experience working within a consultancy environment is desirable MAPM or equivalent Why Become an Arcadian?
