Job Description

UK contract, PAYE Previous experience in heavy civil construction in the UK is a must Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in the Heathrow Airport Project. -Shifts: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, 30-minute break / (or 9 am to 6 pm). -Estimated length of the position: 36-48 months- when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity. -Responsibilities: Full commercial, delivery and risk responsibility for one site/project (scale and complexity dependent, may be more than one project). Manages the external client relationship. Looks ahead 2-3 years. Budget management responsibility for project. Manages change controls. Takes a strategic view for the project Role Summary. Managing an autonomous project including predevelopment work, tender management, client interviews, etc. prior to securing the project. Delivering project in accordance with programme and within budget. Delivery, quality, safety, commercial. Add in the complexity factors. Leading and managing site teams and sub-contractors to deliver results and work in adherence to budget & programme. Developing business opportunities through establishing good working relationships with clients. Maintaining a good working relationship with the client, stakeholders, project management and supervisory team and the supply chain. Reaching out to relevant specialisms, such as legal, commercials, H&S etc. when needed. -Requirements: Degree or master’s in engineering (other subjects considered). Minimum 2:1, H&S Awareness, CSCS Card Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person / Supervisory / Manager, SSSTS, SMSTS Knowledge / ability. Experience as a Project Manager in airport/highway/heavy civil construction projects. Well-developed planning and organisational skills including scope and schedule management. Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to build relationships and influence at the right levels with key stakeholders. Working knowledge of FC approach to sustainability. Quality control ‘right first time’ ethos. Detailed knowledge and application of health and safety legislation. Ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation actions before the risk is realised. Understanding of project environmental aspects and control measures, climate literacy & carbon management, environmental consents & permit awareness. -Benefits: Bonus allowance. 22 working days of vacation per year 8 bank holidays. 15 working days of sick leave (100% salary). 2 weeks of paternity leave (80% salary).
