Job Title: Project Manager Quality Systems

Scope of Work: IS09001 Quality Certification rollout

The Client: SME Manufacturing site supplying the construction industry.

Job Location: Derby area; good access

Hybrid working

Job Reward: £60-65K target Band

However, applications took on experience for this business-critical hire.

Contract Type: 6–9-month Fixed Term Contract. A very generous retention Bonus is on Offer

Omega is recruiting for an accomplished Project Manager, ideally with Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager Systems implantation experience as you will be leading a company-wide project to obtain ISO9901 accreditation.


Job Purpose: Project Manager Quality Systems


The role of the Project Manager is to ensure Quality Certification criteria are delivered through the entire business. In addition, you will set up infrastructure to achieve site ISO9001 standards.

You will lead the onsite project teams to achieve specified and smart project goals, to consistently drive quality and traceability through all aspects of the business.

With a proven record of success managing manufacturing, technical or quality systems projects in the manufacturing industry.


Ideally a qualified, certified Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities – Project Manager Quality Systems


  • Health and Safety in the workplace above everything else, leading by example
  • and own all the criteria set out by the certification body and ISO9001
  • management of gaining UKAS accredited certification, such as BBA
  • and drive the defined project plan with clear timelines and outcomes required
  • department heads to drive changes through the manufacturing business
  • quality standards, processes and procedures are defined that can be maintained and understood by Departmental Heads enabling the future success of the business
  • together the project teams to achieve the outcomes
  • all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities ensuring accountability and ownership
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles, root cause, implementing corrective actions that are sustainable
  • and lead the contact with External certification bodies
  • the review processes and procedures, ongoing, striving for continuous improvement in quality systems, standards and safety
  • ensure effective department and cross-departmental communication, Teamwork will be critical to instil a Quality focussed culture
  • database up to date and in order
  • effective cross-functional leadership and team management including the ability to organize and manage internal and external functional teams of design, technology, facilities, and manufacturing operations staff


Qualifications & Requirements – Project Manager Quality Systems


  • will be committed to providing an exceptional level of customer service
  • will ideally be educated to degree level, or equivalent, having gained experience in manufacturing and quality sectors
  • knowledge of ISO9001; 14001; BBA accreditation would be desirable
  • experience in driving projects through to successful conclusions
  • Strong communicator
  • and understand the ever-changing needs of the business
  • are a highly organised project Leader
  • are results and solution orientated, you are resourceful and curious
  • should also have the confidence to manage your own time and prioritise your workload
  • with the ability to work under pressure whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery
