Vacancy 1) We are looking to speak to Project Manager's with a minimum of 3 year post graduate experience with in a construction consultancy or other client-side organisation who are working towards chartered status.

Vacancy 2) We would like to speak to Senior Project Managers with a minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in a similar client-side organisation or a construction consultancy. As the SPM, you can expect career progression to Head of Capital project in 12 months from appointment in post, the Head of Capital Projects is the line manager for all internal Project Managers and Technical staff

Our client's capital project team is a high performing, small yet efficient department that offers succession plans to grow within the team. You will expect to deliver highly complex projects from £10m to £65m with the support from the team and external consultants.

What to expect:

  • SPM - Effective leadership and line management of Project administration and support staff and nominated external contractors, ensuring that high standards are achieved, in accordance with organisations regulations and procedures.
  • SPM - Reporting to the Head of Projects, the successful candidate will provide day to day management of the operational activities of the Capital Projects delivery team.
  • SPM - will provide strategic level support to the Head of Projects in the delivery of strategic capital property projects.
  • SPM - Carry out annual Performance and Development Review for agreed relevant staff.
  • PM/SPM - Act as Project Manager on delegated projects leading the client management team to facilitate the preparation of feasibility studies and appraisals working with client user groups. Develop project briefs and, through the application of sound professional practice, implement projects within agreed constraints of time, quality safety and cost to a high level of user satisfaction.
  • PM/SPM - Support nominated staff individually, including setting objectives, managing workloads, performance, attendance, capability and development.
  • SPM - Proactively support the development of the team and successful collaboration across the organisation.
  • PM/SPM - Assess and lead on change management, influencing and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • PM/SPM - Develop new and improve existing project systems, processes and procedures to ensure a progression of continuous development.
  • PM/SPM - A key responsibility will be ensuring full compliance and industry standard process, procedure and guidelines and ensuring accurate and effective financial monitoring and reporting systems.
  • PM/SPM - Optimisation of interface systems, processes and procedures, leading to development of short-form Service Level Agreements, in conjunction with key internal partner services.
  • PM/SPM - Plan, prioritise and organise the resources required for the effective operation of a work team; coordinate teams or project streams setting performance standards and developing monitoring procedures to track progress.
  • PM/SPM - Assist with monitoring and updating lists of consultants and contractors engaged by the organisation including performance appraisal to ensure that they are satisfying the organisations requirements.
  • PM/ SPM - Effective engagement and communication with organisations management, stakeholders and external partners regarding capital projects and estates development.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, e.g. Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, building and construction or project management.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, MAPM, MCIOB, CIBSE or ICE)

In return:

  • PM salary circa £45,000 per annum
  • SPM salary circa £61,000 per annum
  • 20% employer pension contribution
  • 33 days annual leave plus public/bank holidays
