Job Title: Project Planner

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000


Position Overview:

As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans and schedules that guide our teams from conception to completion. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather input, identify project milestones, and establish realistic timelines for project activities.
  • Conduct schedule analysis, identify critical paths, and propose strategies to mitigate schedule risks and optimize project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate project constraints, resource availability, and budget considerations into the project plan.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, highlighting key milestones, variances, and potential impacts on project timelines.
  • Facilitate regular project planning meetings to review schedule updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment among project team members.
  • Support project managers in identifying dependencies, allocating resources, and resolving scheduling conflicts to maintain project momentum.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in project planning and scheduling methodologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience 2 years in project planning, scheduling, and coordination within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and industry standards.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
