On the back of our PPP success, we are now growing our KDP5 Framework team in Cumbria, delivering another crucial, major project at Sellafield. We’re actively looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support our team across all aspects of the project function.

Role Key Accountabilities


Execution: Building an understanding of company-wide and functional codes, standards and working practices in order to perform quality tasks in line with BOPs and WIs. Provide a support service as required by the Site Manager/Project Manager/Quality Manager/proposal lead in the provision of technical quality information. Independently and proactively prepare Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans to suit the requirements of the customer/contract. Identify Error Traps and implement Error Prevention Tools to reduce instances of predictable error.


Governance: Comply with national laws/regulations, follow appropriate delivery processes (e.g. Service Delivery Process, EPC) and adhere to company-wide & functional BOPs and WIsto act in line with standardised working practices. Assist with (and be able to conduct) quality audits, investigations/inspections, identifying non-compliance with the quality management system and customer quality arrangements.


Innovation: Be aware of the need for development innovation at more senior levels and begin to build an awareness of expectations in this area in order to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.


Communication: Understand the need for networking and begin to build up a basic internal relationship network in order to leverage expertise, influence decision making and satisfy requirements. Actively promote the QHSE management system to reduce non-conformance/defects and enhance profitability
