Job Description

Berkshire Talent Partnership are proud to be working with a leading infrastructure and energy developer. Our client has 1GW+ under construction or in operation, and 12GW+ of facility at advanced stages in their project development pipeline. As such this developer are expanding their team and are currently hiring for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to support their growing project portfolio.


Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the commercial team on a variety of projects within the renewable energies sector. Duties will include preparing cost estimates, tender documents, and contracts; managing the procurement process; and monitoring project costs.


Responsibilities:

  • To manage multiple works packages from project inception through to final accounting.
  • To provide comprehensive financial and surveying related information as required by Senior Management.
  • Preparation of cost estimates, cost planning reports, and other costing exercises.
  • Preparation and administration of various contract forms (predominantly NEC4).
  • Preparation and administration of application for payments.
  • Carrying out assessments of Compensation Events.
  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a within contract timescales.
  • Liaise with Contractor and Client representatives and other members of the team to ensure effective communications and a cohesive working environment.
  • Attend Project Sites as required to meet project deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager, and delivery team to maximise the success of the project.


Skills Required

  • Contract Management experience (NEC3, NEC4 preferred).
  • Degree qualified in Commercial management / Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Experience with Civils, M&E, Renewables or Major Infrastructure projects in a Main Contractor or Consultancy capacity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and logical skills.
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
