Who we are looking for

A Project Systems Administrator who will work within the Project and Programme Delivery (PPD) department, providing systems administration to the team and the wider Business.


We are looking for a Project Systems Administrator to join this exciting and vital part of the Business.


In this busy and fast paced role, you will play a key role in providing administration and technical support to the wider department, utilising your already well developed administration and systems experience you will contribute to the overall continuous improvement of the department.


This is a great opportunity to support and also learn from a well-established delivery team containing extensive business and industry knowledge.


This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.


Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, including pivot charts, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to function as a member of a team, while also being capable of operating with minimal supervision or constant guidance.
  • Experience of system administration, maintenance experience and release planning.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, both on premise and Cloud, Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience of PowerBI report creation.
  • Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services report writing.
  • Working knowledge of web technology and development environments for example Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer, SQL Server 2019, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and HTML.
  • Up to date RedHat and Linux administration experience.
  • Possess a can-do attitude, organisational skills, analysis skills and will not be afraid of a challenge.


Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior Project Systems Administrator in implementing process improvements, assisting in designing platform upgrades and changes to systems as well as functional testing.
  • Performing end-to-end system testing as a part of changes or upgrades to systems and applications.
  • Supporting the regular maintenance duties including operating system and application patching to PPD environments, against agreed maintenance schedules.
  • Developing and managing permission models, ensuring that access to applications is controlled appropriately.
  • Supporting the user communities of the key systems and supporting any requests for Change and Proof of Concept (PoC) work.
  • Providing internal support for Business users, responding quickly to questions and issues should they occur.
  • Providing technical consultations as needed and liaising with other teams within the technology domain.
  • Producing repeatable and ad-hoc management information associated with the delivery portfolios and delivery lifecycles, both project and software, including key performance indicators information.
  • Developing and delivering real time reporting using both PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), to management and to end users, utilising multiple data sources.
