Property & Fleet Asset Manager
Location: Sutton, SM1 1DA
Salary: FTE £42,836 - £49,077 per annum
Working Pattern: 36 hrs per week (8.45am 4.30pm Mon-Thurs; 8.45am 4.15pm Fri)
The Academy Trust is a family of specialist education providers for over 1500 pupils and students from nursery to further education across 14 academies and 9 college centres in London, Surrey, Sussex, and Berkshire. Supporting their academies and college, they also operate learning support, such as nursing and therapy, and a central business support team which includes HR, finance, and IT.
The Role
The Estates & Facilities team are seeking to appoint a Property & Fleet Asset Manager to ensure that their property and vehicle records are accurately maintained.
As part of the role, you will:
- Ensure that estate management activities including rent and rate reviews, lease extensions and renewals are managed in a timely manner.
- You will maintain a database of condition, suitability and sufficiency data related to their estate to ensure that funding is allocated in line with their condition categories.
- As well as managing their property assets, you will ensure that their vehicle fleet is maintained and meets their statutory obligations including Permit 19. A key objective will be to review their fleet and ensure it meets future ULEZ requirements.
- You will contribute to new and existing policies and procedures relating to their property and fleet assets to ensure their policies and procedures meet statutory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Driving licence (all new appointments will be required to have a clean, valid driving licence).
- Valid MIDAS training to coaching level (training available).
- To hold or be willing to work towards the Institute of Work Place Management qualification in facilities management.
- To hold or be willing to work towards NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
- Knowledge of basic site maintenance and good practice in building services.
- Experience of managing Building Management Systems.
- Proven experience of managing a team.
- Ability to plan and prioritise a range of regular and irregular tasks, and ability to analyse tasks and how they may best be achieved.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in building maintenance work.
- Experience of supervising staff.
