Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for trading, underwriting, and service activities, with the objective of providing consistent, high-quality service to customers, delivering satisfactory and profitable results for the company, and developing strong business relationships with the broker panel.
- Develop and maintain good business relationships with both new and existing brokers.
- Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team, including quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).
- Manage and serve a panel of assigned brokers’ accounts.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with Underwriting Authority.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers.
- Visit brokers as required to develop business, maintain the existing book, and cross-sell the company’s products.
- Produce monthly reports for renewals and provide accurate analysis.
- Identify poorly performing accounts and take remedial actions as needed.
- Liaise with the Claims team to prepare relevant claim reports.
- Work with the Finance team on daily broker/client inquiries and assist the Finance team with premium receivables as part of key tasks.
- Collaborate with the IT team for system enhancements and testing of new and existing products.
