Job Description

Taylor Root is working with an exciting, scale-up brand in the real estate industry, who are looking to hire a Senior Residential Property/Conveyancing Lawyer to come in as their in-house counsel. They need someone who can start in the next month and be with them for 3-6 months.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role would suit someone who has ideally already spent time in-house. Candidates need to be able to handle a high-volume workload, demonstrate proactivity and flexibility to business needs, as well as being able to articulate effectively with the business. It’s an excellent position where you’ll be really immersed within the business, working hand-in-hand with teams including Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Buying.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing conveyancing transactions to include progressing through the purchase and sales process
  • Ensuring a high-volume of transactions are managed concurrently
  • Supporting the Valuation and Buying teams to ensure legal matters are addressed
  • Evaluating the current process, and implementing ways in which legal and the business could be working more efficiently
  • Evaluating how legal could be streamlining processes
Experience required:
    Ideally you’ll have 6+ years’ experience
    In-house experience is advantageous
    Thorough understanding of the residential conveyancing process
    Proactive, hands-on approach
    You’ll be someone with excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with non-legal personnel
