Job Overview - Protection and Control Design Engineer

This design and build HV electrical contractor (up to 132kV) are looking for a Protection and Control Design Engineer to be responsible for the production of Protection Engineering drawings/documents (Schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams, cable schedules, core sheets, key line diagrams and panel layouts and arrangements) and checking against Design Specifications, programme, budget and to the appropriate quality and health and safety requirements.

Package

• Salary - Up to 80k
• Working conditions - Fully remote (other than site visits when required)

Selected Key Duties

• Production of Protection Engineering solutions
• Detailed Protection Design
• Checking of Engineering Technical Specifications
• Checking of Design Risk Assessments
• Attend site meetings to discuss and advise construction staff on site related issues
• Attend Technical Meetings with Client, site or office based, to ensure Client satisfaction

Experience/Skills Required

• Fully conversant with the latest Transmission and Distribution standards & technologies applicable to Protection Engineering
• Fully conversant with Health and Safety standards (including CDM Regulations) applicable to the design of Protection Engineering
• 3+ years of UK experience in Protection and Control Design for EHV projects
• Full UK driving license
