Job Description

Due to the expansion of our pumping operations, we are hiring a bright and enthusiastic Pump Training and Design Manager to work in our vibrant and dynamic organisation. If you have electrical experience and qualifications, then you could be ideal for this role.


Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Location: Office-based position based in Tonbridge, Kent with regular travel required to project locations and client premises.

Contract: Full-time


Newton Waterproofing Systems is a leading independent supplier of structural waterproofing systems to the UK construction industry, and this multi-faceted role will see the successful applicant working across all aspects of the company and taking ownership of all pump-related enquiries and technical support. This includes the following responsibilities:


Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily technical support on all pumping related enquiries, both on-site and from the head office in Tonbridge, Kent.
  • Design clean water, foul water and grey water pumping solutions for civil, commercial and civil applications.
  • Diagnose pump and battery-back up system faults both on-site and over the phone to a successful conclusion.
  • Work with our in-house basement waterproofing design team, providing take-off and design advice, including creating detailed specifications and quotations for pumping systems.
  • Work with our Network of Approved installers as the primary source of on-site and classroom training on existing and new pumping systems. This will include providing training both in our training facilities in Tonbridge and Leeds as well as at client premises.
  • Proactive marketing of the company's range of below ground pumping solutions through specification and distribution networks.
  • Act as the company's focal point for pumping design and installation and develop strong relationships with our network of approved installers to provide the highest level of customer support.
  • Develop the range of pumping systems to support the company's products and services.


Skills and Experience - Essential:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be competent in on-site electrical works.
  • Have strong analytical and proven problem-solving skills in diagnosing and resolving technical faults in previous roles.
  • Be a consummate communicator, confident and experienced in delivering classroom training and technical seminars for contractors and designers.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.


Skills and Experience - Desirable:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in requirements for Electrical Installations to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition.
  • Be experienced in the installation of sump and pump systems in commercial and domestic structures.
