The Role:

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will support our Purchasing team with various administrative duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple projects. You will handle tasks such as managing purchase orders, supplier communication, report generation, and maintaining accurate records. Your excellent numeracy, Excel, and communication skills will help ensure the smooth operation of our purchasing function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General administrative support (phone handling, meeting arrangements, post distribution)
  • Managing the Purchasing inbox and handling low-level buying activities
  • Raising and sending purchase orders, managing amendments, and tracking orders
  • Supplier and account reconciliation, generating reports from Sage
  • Maintaining accurate supplier details and records
  • Assisting with vendor packs, managing online documents, and more

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Sage 200 is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines
  • A team player with strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach
