Location: London (Canary Wharf)
Hybrid: 2 - 3 days in the office
Comp: up to £650 p/d
Contract: 12 months
Are you a talented Python Developer who can build and maintain solutions for the financial and energy markets? Do you have a passion for working with large and complex datasets, as well as trading systems and market data? Do you enjoy working with teams of data engineers, as well as collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
What you will be doing:
- Develop proprietary data and analytics solutions
- Provide technical guidance and code reviews to other team members
- Design, develop and deploy high-performance solutions that process large volumes of data
Must have experience:
- 7+ years experience in software development, preferably in the financial services or energy trading industry
- Expertise in Python and its ecosystem of libraries and frameworks for data processing, data analysis and data visualisation
- Airflow, detailed understanding of architecture including schedulers, executers, operators
- Cloud Environments, understanding of principles, technologies and services for AWS / Azure
- Kubernetes EKS / AKS / OpenShift including high availability
Desired experience:
- Worked with Python 3.9+
- Familiar with Python test automation
- Experience with SQL and Timeseries databases
- Familiar with Parquet, Arrow, Airflow, Databricks
- Experience with cloud AWS services, such as S3, EC2, RDS etc
- Quality engineering best practice and tooling including TDD, BDD
