Software QA Engineer (UI/UX)Permanent – Full Time – Entry Level - £30,000 to £35,000 DOEOverviewWe are an organisation based in central London who develop a cutting-edge scientific software, as well as providing services to the world's largest data centres and to the industry's leading consultancies. We are currently looking for a Software QA Engineer to expand our team in central London, with focus on testing the UI/UX of our desktop applications.This is a position with a wide scope, and the successful candidate will be expected to take part in manual testing and, where needed, automated testing.The role is office-based, but the successful candidate may be expected to work from home for an initial period of time. Equipment and training will be provided virtually if required.Minimum Requirements * At least 12 months of experience in a similar role (e.g. QA Engineer, Manual Tester). * Good numeracy skills.Desirable Skills * Scientific-oriented degree (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering). * Basic knowledge and enthusiasm for programming. * Previous experience in an Agile development team. * Previous experience with a highly technical/scientific software. * Previous experience in UI/UX testing.Personal Characteristics * Willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a team-oriented environment. * Interested in a pursuing a career as QA Engineer / Software Developer in Test. * Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. * High level of rigour and an eye for detail. * Good time management skills.Benefits * £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. * 23 days of holiday. * Group pension scheme. * Private health insurance. * Life assurance. * Bonus contingent on company's performance.Application ProcessThe position will close on the 10th September 2021, with interviews to follow shortly.
