Job Description
Hobson Prior is seeking a scientist for Quality Control Analysis. This role involves assessing products and related materials to ensure they meet EU and FDA GMP requirements. You will be part of a team that ensures all testing is completed within the required timelines and in alignment with the production schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests on gene therapy products according to product specifications.
- Support testing requirements for the management of the facility, including environmental monitoring.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and ready for use.
- Record any deviations from specifications, investigate and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures and laboratory documentation.
- Maintain QC facilities to meet GMP requirements and support any health authority or customer site visits.
- Support the Quality Management System and ensure the integrity of all data produced.
- Assist in introducing new analytical methods for testing gene therapy products.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in QC testing of products to GMP requirements.
- Ability to maintain laboratories to GMP standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop alternative solutions.
- Leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to work within a budget and implement cost-saving measures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Degree in Human Health or Sciences or equivalent relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
- Knowledge of EU and FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.
- Proficiency in IT, Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) preferred.
