W ood is currently recruiting for a Quality Advisor to support our Consulting business unit based in Aberdeen on a staff basis with hybrid working available.

The Role
The Quality Advisor will provide support to ensure that quality activities are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Assists in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and reporting on the status of quality management systems and activities, so that resulting actions are delivered effectively and business risks are mitigated or prevented.

  • Assist in the planning, development and execution of quality programmes in accordance within allocated budgets and in compliance with contract/project execution and quality plan arrangements
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality plans to meet contractual requirements
  • Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of Wood Quality Management Systems
  • Assist with the establishment of assurance schedules and support implementation of internal, external and extrinsic assurance activities
  • Assist in the quality review and approval of product/material requisitions
  • Review subcontractor and supplier Quality Management Systems, quality plans and ITP's, documentation and records ensuring they meet stated requirements
  • Co-ordinate third party vendor inspection visits; review and distribution of inspection reports
  • Assist in the management and analysis of Non Conformances and corrective action data
  • Support the creation and review of tender packages and proposals
  • Attend Kick off meetings and establish how defined quality requirements will be implemented.
  • Promote the awareness of quality principles through targeted communication, education and training
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
  • Assist implementation of local management reviews and reporting of metrics and KPI's

Expected:

  • Quality Auditor qualification by recognised industry body
  • Previous Quality experience (preferably in relevant industry equivalent).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and application
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
  • Analytical, Problem solving skills and systematic thinking
  • Excellence communicator
  • Confident self-starter who can work independently
  • Work as part of a team
  • Good planner or organiser
  • Shows respect to others

Desirable:

  • Diploma (or local equivalent) in quality or related discipline
  • Membership of CQI, ASQ or other country equivalent
