Our client, a leading consultancy is looking to hire a Quality & Risk Manager for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). This role is 2 days per week in the office in The City of London and the other 3 days a week at home.


We are seeking an experienced Manager to support on quality activities. The successful candidate will be working closely with other senior members of the Quality & Risk team. The Quality and Risk Team are a group of professionals dedicated to safeguarding The Client’s integrity and standards. The Team’s responsibilities encompass audit technical oversight, ethics and independence compliance, systems development, risk management, and delivery of the inspections programme. We work to ensure compliance with industry regulations and uphold our commitment to excellence and ethical practices.


This role will allow you to work at a global level directly with all The Client’s Member Firms, key decision makers and The Client’s global committees. You should expect to showcase and share from your experiences, while innovating and developing original methods to deal with this complex and critical aspect of our network.


You will support Member Firms to implement policies, procedures and processes, be responsible for monitoring activities, identifying and addressing knowledge gaps and proactively enhancing systems and procedures. You will regularly interact with the senior leadership of Member Firms across the world and executive level personnel.


The role will expand as required to address quality challenges as the Network continues to grow.


Key responsibilities


  • Play an important role in developing and delivering the Client network’s Quality & Risk objectives
  • Project manage change management and communication of Quality & Risk and projects
  • Assist with enhancement of existing processes and procedures
  • Assist in the oversight of the completion of Member Firm actions resulting from various monitoring and ongoing remediation activities.
  • Development of training and communication materials on quality matters, and support in delivering training
  • Draft and curate informative content on Quality & Risk matters, for distribution to Member Firms
  • Manage Global committees (agreeing and distributing agenda, assisting with development of materials and ensuring actions are done)
  • Create content and presentations for webinars and others meetings
  • Team and engage with groups across Member Firms, service lines, industry sectors and geographies to develop strategies or programs to increase knowledge and awareness to reduce the instances of possible non-compliance.
  • Take the lead on and/or support on other Quality & Risk related projects


Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • An ACA or equivalent qualification or experience working on global accounting firm compliance-related projects
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a compliance function or risk management function at a professional services firm
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A proficiency at driving projects to a close and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • To be an excellent team player
  • Previous experience of working in the development and delivering of training programs, is an advantage
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Deep operating experience with strong process and controls knowledge and awareness
