Mercury is not just a company; we’re a transformative force in the world of SaaS for recruitment and staffing firms. Since our founding in 2014, we’ve been at the forefront, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation that has allowed us to create a ground breaking SaaS platform, based on the Microsoft D365 and the Power Platform.

Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.

With a global presence in strategic locations, including Coleshill, London, Boston, Chicago, and Sydney, we’ve expanded at an impressive pace, breaking into Australia in 2019 and the US in 2020. We are now a dynamic team of 140 employees, and we’re not stopping there – we’re on track to double in size over the next 24 months.

Mercury is all about our customers, with over 100 worldwide and 8,000+ users experiencing the transformative power of our solutions. We’ve seen remarkable growth in headcount, surging by over 125% in the last two years. As a dedicated SaaS innovator, we are here to simplify and enhance the operations of recruitment and staffing firms.

What you’ll do

  • Write, execute, and maintain a suite of API tests for Mercury integrations using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, and Swagger, ensuring the robustness and reliability of third-party APIs.
  • Perform manual API testing to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and identify potential issues.
  • Work closely with Developers within an Agile development team to test user stories during the development process, contributing to the overall quality of the software.
  • Effectively log and assist in prioritising defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring a streamlined and organised approach to issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to iteratively improve working practices, contribute to regression testing activities for releases, and actively participate in creating an innovative and forward-thinking work culture while adhering to established departmental and company processes.

Who you are

  • Have 2+ years of commercial experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in QA engineering and a proven ability to hit the ground running.
  • Have a good proficiency in API testing, with a skill set in using Postman, and ideally ReadyAPI and Swagger.
  • Have experience working with Jira and/or Azure DevOps, along with practical experience working with Git source control.
  • Have a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience working in Agile Development Teams using frameworks like Kanban or SCRUM.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the entire testing life cycle, including defining test plans and scripts, executing tests, and effectively managing defects.

Desirable

  • Be ISTQB-BCS Tester Foundation Level certified.
  • Proficiency in programming (C#), scripting and SQL.
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365, Power Platform, performance/loading testing, and experience in CI/CD environments, as well as environment/build management using Azure DevOps.
