Quality Assurance Manager

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the specialist automotive, defense and aerospace markets and is currently seeking an experienced quality assurance manager to fill a current skills gap in their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Implementing and managing new quality management systems - Documentation, Procedures, Product quality standards, supplier quality assurance.
Very all round role have to be good at all parts of quality
Implement new methods of working for Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
Auditing suppliers and helping them to develop quality
Managing a team of 25
Also in charge of the test and rework department
Dealing with supplier complaints
Problem solving skills and promoting methodical problem solving in the team. 5Y 8D Fishbone
Continuous improvement projects
Working towards BS EN ISO9001
Using Data and KPI to identify problems and find solutions
Usual management tasks - Training, Appraisals, disciplinary, coaching
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Need to come from a mechanical background and have an understanding of Fabrication and Hydraulics
Previous experience implementing Automotive quality systems into a company and the positive affect they caused
Experience leading a large team
Need an understanding of the technical engineering side so they can talk and support suppliers
