The Profile:
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will have an HND or BSc or MSc in food related discipline such as Food Science HACCP certificate and Internal auditing training. You will be able to demonstrate leadership and people management skills as you will have a team of 7 to manage. Sound factory knowledge, good understanding of principles of hygiene, interpretation of microbiological results. Excellent communicator who can influence throughout all aspects of the business, with strong oral and written abilities. The ability to liaise with people at all levels as this is a key part of the role.
The Role:
As the Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for
Leading managing and coach the QA team
Managing workload of the department, their performance, rotas and 1st and 2nd line management of the team
Work alongside technical and technical compliance to ensure the site quality management system is fit for purpose.
Owner of the traceability system
Manage complaints
Manage site pest controls
Manage all audits on site, Customer , supplier and BRC
Work closely with hygiene manager to ensure all sites standard are maintained.
Work with the whole business to ensure all training needs related to quality are covered.
