Job Description
Our client is an established metal component and assembly manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Quality Assurance Manager.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Quality Assurance Manager preferably with previous experience in precision engineering and /or aerospace manufacturing sector.
The Role:
Reporting to the Directors your main responsibilities will be to oversee all aspects of quality management systems compliance. Duties will include but is not limited to:
Oversee product quality control and systems compliance throughout the business
Manage a small team of quality inspectors and the testing team
Carry out internal Audits - ISO9001, AS9100D
Effective management and control of non compliance and improvement notices
Drive continuous improvement philosophy throughout the business
Candidate:
You will be an experienced Quality Assurance Manager ideally with a precision engineering and /or fabrication background and applicants must be fully conversant with AS9100D.
You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the requirements of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Preferably you will be a competent practitioner of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and the use of relevant quality improvement tools.
You will be highly motivated and you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 40 hours
