Copello are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a Defence services business based in Fareham. The role is in place to provide vital support in assuring the delivery of products, programmes and service.

Duties will include:
- Providing quality assurance throughout programme and product lifecycle and acceptance events, assuring effective governance.
- Focusing on the quality of suppliers' deliverables, and on what is delivered to the customer.
- Proactively seeking opportunities and drive for continual improvement and excellence.
- Promoting best practice and business excellence.
- Providing monitoring, measurement, analysis, evaluation and reporting on the product and service quality
- Ensuring quality and safety is in everything we do.
- Deputising for the Quality Manager when required.
To apply for this role, you will have:
- A Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent with significant experience in a relevant engineering subject.
- The ability to understand complex technical problems, identify root causes and course of actions to assure product and service quality.
- Sound knowledge and experience of typical product and project lifecycles, and the roles undertaken by key team members and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering effective quality assurance across the complete lifecycle (from concept to operations / obsolescence).
- ISO9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent.
- In depth knowledge and experience of using quality and improvement tools and techniques – in particular within complex environments.
